Welcome to TradesRank. By accessing our website or claiming our promotional launch packages, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of service.

1. Service Offerings & Partnerships

TradesRank provides bespoke web design, Local Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) services specifically tailored for UK trade businesses and local contractors.

Our promotional offer includes the design and construction of a custom high-performance website and 90 days of local search visibility management at zero upfront cost. This offer is limited to 3 concurrent active spots.

2. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Ownership of the custom website design, code, graphics, and domain is fully transferred to you after completing 365 days on our standard visibility retainer (£750/month). If you cancel prior to this or wish to leave with the website assets at the end of the 90-day trial without completing the 365-day period, TradesRank retains full ownership of the website assets. To transfer ownership earlier, you must pay a buyout fee covering the remaining days of the year (365 days minus the number of active days already completed on the trial/retainer). Prior to this transfer or buyout settlement, all website assets remain the intellectual property of TradesRank. Domain name and Google Business Profile ownership are registered directly in your name and are owned by you from day one.

3. Client Responsibilities

To successfully execute web builds and local search optimization, you agree to:

  • Provide necessary business credentials, local address verification details, and active phone numbers for local citation building (such as Google Business Profile).
  • Provide text details, project pictures, and brand logos in a timely manner.
  • Respond to review drafts and indexing setup requests within reasonable timeframes.

4. Fees, Retainers & Cancellation

Our launch promotion is contract-free. After the initial 90-day free optimization window, you may choose to continue with our search management service for £750 per month. You may cancel this agreement at any time by giving us 14 days' written notice prior to your next billing cycle. If you cancel, your website hosting and search updates will be deactivated unless ownership transfer terms (paying the buyout fee for the remaining days of the 365-day year) are settled.

5. Limitation of Liability

While we use industry-leading strategies to optimize rankings and drive phone inquiries, search engines and AI databases update their algorithms continuously. TradesRank cannot guarantee specific position rankings or lead quantities. We are not liable for any lost business revenue or indirect damages resulting from algorithm updates or domain adjustments.

6. Data Processing (GDPR Article 28)

Where TradesRank builds and operates a website on behalf of a client that includes a contact form or other mechanism for collecting personal data from the client's website visitors, the following data processing arrangement applies in accordance with UK GDPR Article 28:

  • Data Controller: The client is the data controller for all personal data collected via their website (e.g. visitor name and email address submitted via a contact form).
  • Data Processor: TradesRank acts as a data processor on behalf of the client, processing visitor enquiries solely for the purpose of delivering them to the client's designated email inbox.
  • Sub-Processor: TradesRank uses Resend (resend.com), a US-based email delivery provider, as a sub-processor to transmit contact form submissions. Resend processes data under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and a UK International Data Transfer Addendum (UK IDTA).
  • Client Obligations: By accepting these terms, the client confirms they have a lawful basis to collect visitor personal data, maintain a compliant privacy policy on their own website disclosing the use of TradesRank and Resend as processors, and have registered with the ICO if required under UK law.
  • Data Retention: Contact form submission data is retained for up to 180 days within TradesRank's email systems, after which it is subject to the client's own retention and deletion obligations.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
